PatientLogix™ Pre-Admission Patient Health Education | |
For scheduled hospital stays, along with the pre-admission information package that a patient will be provided with by their doctor or the hospital, a patient will receive a PatientLogix™ Patient User ID number in credit card format by mail and sent a subsequent email with a link to www.patientlogix.com/patients and a Temporary Access Code which will enable the patient to login to our patient portal. Once logged in to the PatientLogix™ system the patient can then personalize and change their Temporary Access Code. In keeping with HIPAA privacy regulations no personal health information is stored on the PatientLogix™ Cloud or website. | |
Patient Health Education is equally important prior to the hospital stay as it eases the patient’s stress levels, instills a sense of calmness and confidence by educating them from the comfort of their own home. Typically the educational content would include information on what the patient should expect from their up-coming medical procedure, answering the most common questions about their medical condition so they don’t aggravate their illness, and provide them with helpful tips on how to treat themselves once they are discharged from the hospital and back in their home. | |
PatientLogix™ also includes a designated area on the same web page for hospitals to provide the patient with information on directions to get to the hospital, parking access, inpatient services and facilities such as; how meals are ordered, visiting hours, important phone numbers, payment methods, TV and gift shop services etc. This important hospital information inevitably familiarizes the patient with the hospital surroundings before their arrival, consequently reducing their anxiety and stress levels. | |
PatientLogix™ Hospitalization Stay Patient Health Education | |
The PatientLogix™ Media Studio can provide Health Educational videos to patient’s during their hospital stay on an on-demand basis from a comprehensive menu of Health Education videos which can be viewed by patients at their leisure, or be prescribed specific Health Educational videos their clinicians or physicians require them to view before or after their medical procedure. The PatientLogix™ system can also deliver and administer comprehension follow-up questions directly to the patient about the on-demand or the prescribed videos to test the patient’s comprehension level of the Health Education material that they viewed, keep track of the results, and send alerts and notifications to hospital personnel if the comprehension scores of the patient were unsatisfactory. This notification feature provides the hospital staff with an opportunity to re-visit the patient prior to the patient’s discharge to re-review the assigned Health Education material to ensure that the patient will be leaving the hospital with as much comprehension of their medical condition and post-hospital care as possible. | |

If a patient has received printed information on their medical condition and follow-up care, the chances are high that it will get misplaced or lost on the way home. Patients who have been given strong medications and or who are stressed about the transition going from a hospital care environment to a home environment worrying about what they need to do to ensure they have what they need, or remember what they need to know to care for themselves, especially the elderly, can quickly forget the material they viewed in the hospital. Once at home, they try to remember the doctor’s instructions as to what they can and cannot do, directions on the use of their medication, or follow-up instructions etc. | |
With the PatientLogix™ Media Studio the patient will be able to log into our online patient portal www.patientlogix.com/patients and use the same account information they had previously used for their pre-admission and in-hospital access to the PatientLogix™ system, and for a period of time, review the video material with a clearer state of mind at home with the use of a computer. If the patient does not have a computer, or is not familiar with its operation, a family member, friend and or personal caregiver with a laptop can help the patient login to the PatientLogix™ system and review the Health Education videos to assist them in their health literacy and self-management of their in-home post care. | |
